The December 2007 Journal will be arriving late to subscribers. The shipment was delivered to the post office at the usual time, at the end of November, so subscribers could receive them during the first week of December. We've been on the phone with Postal Service supervisors, trying to figure out what the problem is this time. They state that the mailbags were apparently put with standard mail instead of first class mail. They said it is a training issue that will be addressed. New and temporary employees at the sorting center will be retrained to recognize that brown mailbags indicate the contents are periodicals, which means they are to be included with first class mail rather than standard mail. A supervisor with the Postal Service agreed to personally supervise the initial sorting of our publication for the next six months to insure it is handled as first class mail. Your December issue is in the mail stream, but will take a bit longer to reach you. Thanks for your patience.
